Our Team

BRIGID CLINTON | DIRECTOR
Brigid joined the firm in 2006 and has been practicing law in Balclutha for most of her professional career. Brigid became a Director of the firm in April 2017.
Brigid brings a wealth of knowledge to the firm in all aspects of general rural practice. Brigid enjoys assisting clients, especially in the fields of Relationship Property law, Conveyancing, Succession Planning, Elder law, Trusts and Estate law.

Annie Soper | DIRECTOR
Annie started her legal career with the firm in the Balclutha office in 2009 before assisting with the opening of our branch office in Milton in 2012. She became a Director of the firm in November 2020.
Annie continues to work in both the Milton and Balclutha offices and enjoys assisting people from all facets of her local community in the areas of property, commercial law, trusts and estates, succession planning, relationship property and rural law.
Annie is a member of the Milton Volunteer Fire Brigade and has given her time to a number of local organisations including currently serving as a member of the Board of Trustees for St Mary’s School.

Noel O’Malley | Consultant
Noel began work on his family farm before attending Otago University where he completed his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1975.
Noel has been practicing law in Balclutha since joining the firm in 1978. In November 2020 Noel stepped down as a Director of the firm and now practices as a Consultant. As the senior member of the firm, he has seen enormous changes not only in the practice of law, but in the rural community and its supporting industries. Noel enjoys guiding and advising both his work colleagues and his clients in all aspects of the law, and has embraced the ever-changing challenges that a rural practice demands.
Noel has been involved with many community organisations over the years and is a Past President of the Otago District Law Society. He is currently studying part time for a Masters’ Degree in Peace and Conflict at Otago University.

Sarah O’Malley | Estate Manager
Sarah joined the firm in 2013 as our Estate Manager. She qualified as a Registered Legal Executive in 2018. Having already completed a Bachelor of Arts in Classical History and Spanish at Otago University Sarah is currently completing her Bachelor of Laws.
Sarah works alongside families and professionals ensuring that the deceased estates are managed proficiently and effectively in a professional and sensitive manner.
